New $30 million Bowden apartment project set for market release
Premium residences in a new $30 million, 12-storey apartment project at Bowden near the Adelaide CBD will be released to buyers for the first time today.
Adelaide-based developer Emmett Property will officially launch its new “Park Central” project with an initial registration of interest campaign for the 65 high quality residences that will make up the development.
Forming part of Renewal SA’s wider $1 billion Bowden development which is revitalising the former Clipsal industrial precinct, Park Central will become the tallest apartment building in the region and feature uninterrupted parkland views to nearby Adelaide Oval and the city.
It will include one, two and three-bedroom apartments and townhouses, with prices starting from $348,000.
Emmett Property Managing Director Nick Emmett says construction of the Park Central apartments will commence later this year and support 80 jobs throughout the building phase.
“Park Central will be the first premium Park Terrace fronted apartments at Bowden and feature smart design and quality finishes to take maximum advantage of the site’s enviable location and stunning views,” said Mr Emmett.
“We’re anticipating strong demand from buyers for Park Central and are hoping to surpass the recent success we had at Bowden with our $15 million Merchant apartment development, which quickly sold out off the plan after we released the project in 2014.”
Located on Park Terrace adjacent the first stage of Bowden’s retail precinct at Plant 4 and Bowden Park – both of which are currently under construction – Park Central will be the first mixed-use development at Bowden, with residential apartments and two-storey elevated townhouses to be complemented by ground-floor commercial premises.
Established in 2005, Emmett Property is a South Australian-based, privately owned property development and construction company, which has completed the design, development and delivery of a comprehensive portfolio of industrial, commercial and residential projects worth more than $300 million.
In addition to Park Central and The Merchant apartments at Bowden, the firm recently completed a multi-million dollar freight terminal for Lindsay Transport at Direk, and is close to completing a new distribution centre, showroom and office for Haircare Australia at Marleston. It is also building a new $20 million commercial office complex on Frome Street in the city, which is due for completion in November.
The $1 billion Bowden development will ultimately comprise more than 2,400 homes as well as cafes, restaurants, offices, open spaces, parks and gardens as part of a vibrant, walkable community for approximately 3,500 new residents.
