Hughes Public Relations (HPR) has made a great start to the year with the acquisition and integration of South Australian based marketing and communications firm hamrahead.
The integration sees HPR welcome former hamrahead general manager Simon Hatcher to the firm and a number of new clients including IKEA, Constellation Wines and global chemical company Chemtura.
Simon brings to the consultancy and its clients highly respected project management skills in marketing and communications as well as publicity, media and event management.
“I’ll continue to manage former hamrahead clients personally and also be able to offer them the broader services and greater resources of one of the State’s largest communication firms,” Mr Hatcher said.
The integration of hamrahead follows other key developments for HPR including continuing to grow its reputation in the defence and mining sectors and the strengthening of its digital communications capabilities.
Hughes Public Relations managing director, Mr Tim Hughes, said 2010 had started very positively for the consultancy and its clients.
“The integration of hamrahead and the addition of Simon to our experienced team of communications professionals is a significant development for our business as we continue to grow our client and skills base,” Mr Hughes said.
“Late last year we were also pleased to welcome digital communications specialist Michelle Prak to our team. Many of our clients are already benefiting from her expertise in digital media, and particularly the commercial application of digital media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook.”
This year, Hughes Public Relations will celebrate its eighteenth year at the forefront of the South Australian public relations and communications industry. The consultancy’s clients include Adelaide Airport Limited, BankSA, Beerenberg, Clean Seas Tuna Ltd, Defence Teaming Centre, Hansen Yuncken, International Power Australia, McDonalds and Petratherm.
