Lifestyle SA and its modern-day formula for healthy retirement living will celebrate a major milestone tomorrow (Tuesday, December 7) with the official opening of the organisation’s 10th village in South Australia.
The $60 million Reserve Lifestyle Village at Woodcroft will be formally opened by local Member for Mawson Leon Bignell MP at a morning tea function for more than 120 invited guests, including the first residents of the estate.
Lifestyle SA Development Director Stephen Norris said the opening of The Reserve is a landmark achievement for the company.
“We have now built 10 villages in 10 years which is testament to the popularity of our modern approach to retirement living,” said Mr Norris.
“Our investment in these developments is now well in excess of half a billion dollars, with thousands of South Australians across Adelaide now calling a Lifestyle SA village home.”
Located on the corner of Pimpala Road and Sir James Hardy Way at Woodcroft, The Reserve Lifestyle Village features contemporary homes comprising up to three bedrooms, formal and informal living areas and double garaging. Approximately half of the 165 homes planned for the estate are already completed, with many of those already occupied.
The village also features an elaborate community centre incorporating an indoor swimming pool and hydrotherapy spa, gymnasium, billiards lounge, library, hairdressing salon and function areas for resident gatherings.
“These resort-style facilities help create a sense of community and foster a social atmosphere among residents, which is a key trait among all of our villages,” said Mr Norris.
“Homes within The Reserve also incorporate fibre-optic cabling for high-speed broadband internet access, while security measures include automatic card-only access gates which have also proven to be key selling points for buyers.”
As South Australia’s premier housing developer for over-55s, Lifestyle SA is a subsidiary of the Pickard Norris Joint Venture between renowned local home builder Gordon Pickard AM and prominent retirement village developers and managers Stephen and Roxanne Norris.
Since The Elms Lifestyle Village was opened at Walkley Heights in 2001, Lifestyle SA has established award-winning estates at Pasadena (The Parks), Hope Valley (Heysen Court), Salisbury East (The Ferns), Happy Valley (Forest Place), Evanston Park (The Vines), Seaford (The Sands), Parafield Gardens (The Gardens) and Golden Grove.
“Over the past decade we have been overwhelmed with the success of all of our villages, with many prospective buyers now forced to join waiting lists before they can purchase,” said Mr Norris.
“We believe The Reserve is one of our best villages yet, with its quiet, leafy location in a popular southern suburb already resonating with buyers.
“Importantly, this village will also help offset the worrying shortage of high quality retirement living options for people in Adelaide’s south.”
