... Including The Return Of Iconic Anzac Highway Clock!
Having built hundreds of buildings for clients across Australia over the years, Badge is now constructing a new home of its own.
As one of the country’s leading commercial construction firms, Badge has commenced building new corporate headquarters in Adelaide on Anzac Highway at Keswick.
The $2 million refurbishment of the old Ian Berry Insurance offices will enable Badge to move from its current premises split between nearby Eton Road and Richmond Road, into much larger facilities to cater for the company’s ongoing expansion.
The new two-storey premises will house up to 70 office-based staff. The premises will incorporate open-plan work areas, client meeting spaces, training facilities, a boardroom and café – all with environmentally conscious services and much of the existing structure being recycled.
Managing Director Jim Whiting said strong growth in recent years led to the decision to expand the company’s national base.
“We have well and truly outgrown our current Adelaide headquarters, so the time is right to spread our wings and move into bigger and more efficient offices,” he said.
“The new premises will be purpose-built to suit our requirements now and into the future in the rapidly expanding Keswick area. Of course, Anzac Highway is a terrific location to service the South Australian market and also our rapidly growing interstate offices.”
Significantly, Badge has also announced plans to resurrect the clock and temperature sign that used to sit above the old Ian Berry Insurance building.
“The old clock and temperature sign was somewhat of an icon for passing Anzac Highway traffic, so we’ve decided to bring it back as part of the building’s refurbishment,” said Mr Whiting.
The company plans to complete construction of its new headquarters in November and move in by Christmas.
Established in 1983, Badge has been responsible for over $2 billion worth of construction, project and design management projects in Australia, specialising in commercial and industrial infrastructure, schools, hospitals, aged care facilities, shopping centres, food and beverage processing plants, hotels and entertainment venues.
The company currently employs more than 200 people across the country through its offices in Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth, and enjoys an annual turnover of over $200 million.
Current South Australian projects include the new Fort Largs Police Academy, the GP Plus Clinic at Modbury, Woolworths Market Place in Murray Bridge and the Resthaven aged care facility at Mount Gambier.
