Adelaide Airport Ltd (AAL) has appointed Chris Griffiths as its new Manager – Parafield.
AAL Managing Director, Phil Baker, says Mr Griffiths will be responsible for all aeronautical and commercial functions at Parafield Airport, with an emphasis on the operational nature of the airfield and its interaction with the community.
“Mr Griffiths brings to the position a strong background in airfield operations and managerial experience having been involved in the aviation industry for a substantial part of his career,” Mr Baker says.
“He will further develop the consultative processes and mediums to all stakeholders and raise the profile of the airport as a significant contributor to the social and economic fabric of the local community.”
Mr Griffiths was most recently Airport Duty Manager in T1 at Adelaide Airport and prior to that held management positions within a leading air freight company.
“I’m looking forward to this exciting opportunity and to assisting the airport strengthen its excellent reputation as a respected corporate citizen within the local community,” Mr Griffiths says.
He replaces Noel Wellman who after 10 years in the position is moving to Adelaide Airport to take up a property and commercial role.
