Crowne Plaza Adelaide wins deluxe accommodation award

5 July 2011

Crowne Plaza Adelaide has won a national deluxe accommodation award.

The hotel won the Deluxe Accommodation category in the Accommodation Association of Australia’s 2011 National Accommodation Industry Awards for Excellence.

General Manager Brendon Meppem said the awards were the only annual accommodation awards to incorporate a mystery guest component in the judging process.

“We were incredibly excited to be selected as a winner from amongst award 138 finalists, including four finalists in our category from Sydney,” Mr Meppem said.

Properties are judged in equal parts by a written submission and a mystery guest assessment.

The award was presented during a ceremony in Sydney last week.

The Accommodation Association of Australia is the representative body for the Australian accommodation industry, representing some 110,000 guest rooms across the country.
