About the Role

Reporting to our Video Production Manager and working alongside our social and digital consultants, you will support the delivery of video content for both Hughes’ diverse client base, and the Hughes brand itself. You’ll also take the lead in managing and updating our internal video assets and online presence.

While prior video editing or content creation experience is a plus, we’re focused on finding the right personality fit – someone with natural confidence, strong interpersonal skills, a creative eye, and exceptional attention to detail. This is a rare opportunity to be trained in professional video production from the ground up.

Attributes

As the Video Production Coordinator, you will bring:

  • A natural self-confidence and ability to engage with people from all backgrounds and seniority levels.
  • An adaptive personality, with strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • A sharp eye and ear for detail, and pride in producing polished, creative work.
  • The ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and manage your own time, while confidently asking for guidance when needed.
  • A genuine interest in video production and the willingness to learn.

Experience & Requirements

While this is an entry-level position, the following will be well regarded:

  • Experience or familiarity with video and/or photo editing software (preferably the Adobe suite of products including Premiere Pro, Lightroom and Photoshop).
  • A passion for visual storytelling and creating engaging content.
  • Interest in digital platforms and social media video.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • A collaborative, can-do attitude and willingness to support on-set production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit video content for Hughes’ clients under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Assist the social media team with the creation of Hughes’ own content, including video material for Hughes News and our social channels.
  • Take the initiative to develop internal video assets such as case studies and video showreels.
  • Manage and update the Hughes YouTube channel with relevant video content.
  • Provide administrative and creative assistance for larger productions – including proposals, shoot logistics, and storyboarding.
  • Progressively support broader video production tasks, including camera work and on-location shoots.

Terms

This is a 12-month, part-time contract position, with the aim to extend to a permanent full-time role after the contract period. The successful applicant would be expected to take on no conflicting freelance corporate video work. Hours by negotiation.

To apply, please do so through Seek only. Applications are in strictest confidence.

Applications close 6 June 2025.
