Industry leadership
Giving back to our industry is important to Hughes. Our team regularly participates in speaking engagements and industry workshops to share our expert knowledge and learn from other professionals in our field.
Hughes partners with Adelaide University to host an annual “open house” evening where final year university students get a behind-the-scenes look at careers in strategic communications, digital and social media, video production and graphic design. Our whole team attends to offer one-one-one opportunities to answer students’ career questions.
Intern program
Our team is committed to continuous improvement, while giving back to our professions through engagement with student interns, and emerging practitioners.
In addition to our annual “open house” for final year Adelaide University students, Hughes runs an internship program, where a student completes a real-world project, working alongside the Hughes team.
During the internship, the student gains valuable insights into strategic communications, digital and social media, video production, and graphic design. Students may also have the opportunity to attend video shoots, media conferences or other events and meet some of Hughes’ clients to learn about the industries that employ communications professionals.
