Triple tourism gold lands West Beach Parks in Hall of Fame

South Australia’s biggest holiday park has been inducted into the South Australian Tourism Award Hall of Fame after winning Best Caravan & Holiday Park for the third year running last night (November 7).
Discovery Parks - West Beach Parks was among a small group of exceptional tourism businesses welcomed into the Hall of Fame this year, recognised over three consecutive years for setting the benchmark in visitor experience among more than 80 finalists across all award categories.
The Holiday Park the second to be inducted into the Hall of Fame in the past decade attracted more than 77,000 guests in the past year and accommodated a record number of guests in April (8,000+).
West Beach Parks CEO Kate Anderson said the Hall of Fame recognition was a proud milestone for the team and a reflection of the Holiday Park’s 67 years’ of enduring connection with families from across Australia.
“To be recognised alongside so many iconic South Australian tourism operators is an incredible honour,” Ms Anderson said. “Our guests return year after year because they know they’ll find something new to enjoy, while still experiencing that same sense of welcome that makes our holiday park feel like home.”
Over the past year, the Holiday Park has continued to evolve while staying true to its relaxed, coastal charm — with the expansion of The Shack kiosk and new on-site dining options, a QR-coded coffee service delivering barista brews straight to guests’ doors and the introduction of ‘surprise and delight’ moments celebrating special guest milestones.
The Holiday Park has also begun transitioning to sustainable bedding and will soon welcome a new $2.5 million toddler pool and splash zone for the 2025/26 summer season, in addition to a new outdoor cinema space.
“We’re proud of what we’ve achieved, and even more excited for what’s to come as we continue to make our Holiday Park bigger, better and more sustainable for future generations,” Ms Anderson said. “This recognition is testament to consistently raising the bar with high-value, inclusive and exceptional customer experiences backed by a committed, expert team and loyal, fun-loving guests,” she said.
Discovery Parks - West Beach Parks Holiday Park, which is part of the West Beach Parks Precinct, can accommodate up to 3,000 guests across 338 caravan and tent sites, 132 self-catering cabins and a luxury three-bedroom beach house.
Winner of the awards, hosted by the Tourism Industry Council of SA, will go on to represent South Australia in the national Australian Tourism Awards in March 2026.
