Murray Street walk rises up to meet local demand
Commercial and Retail leasing opportunities now available
Future tenants and customers will be able to get a sense of the unique Murray Street Walk retail and business precinct with the foundations now complete and work on the building structure starting this week.
Located at 77 Murray Street between the Town Hall and Old Spot Hotel (soon to be renamed Golden Fleece Hotel), Murray Street Walk is a prominent and stunning mixed use development providing six ground floor retail tenancies and a first floor office area.
This week’s milestone is timed with the release of new images of the Walk’s European style bustling tree lined courtyard where three retail tenancies will face onto the outdoor dining area of the newly refurbished Golden Fleece Hotel.
The retail tenancies range in size from 44m² to 61m² and would suit a variety of uses including a fashion, gift or homewares store or food business.
Westpac has already committed to the project by leasing the three tenancies facing Murray Street with the remaining Murray Walk tenancies and premium first floor office space being offered to the market.
The first floor provides some 610m² of office accommodation, which can be divided from approximately 250m² or taken as a whole floor, depending upon the tenants needs. A large balcony overlooking Murray Street can be accessed from the office space while a passenger lift and stairs provide access to the first floor.
The highest quality finishes will be utilised throughout the building including new male and female toilet facilities, lighting, air-conditioning and carpets.
At the rear, there are three levels of car-parking designed to accommodate 75 vehicles and providing direct access into the ground and first floor levels.
Knight Frank Leasing Agent, Mr Chris Lucas says the owners should be commended in pushing forward with this project as it will not only create a vibrant retail and commercial development and refurbished character hotel, but also breathe further life into the growing town of Gawler.
‘It’s location at Gawler’s commercial and retail heart, makes Murray Street Walk extremely well positioned to take advantage of the growing local population,” said Mr Lucas.
“Gawler’s rapid population growth is continuing to attract new businesses as it transitions from its current population of 50,000 into a busy and bustling satellite town with an estimated population of 80,000 over the next decade.
The development of Murray Street Walk is planned to be completed by October, 2013 and the refurbishment of the Golden Fleece Hotel is due for completion in August, 2013.
