UDIA (SA) president reappointed
Stuart Moseley has been reappointed President of the state’s peak representative body for the urban development industry, the Urban Development Institute of Australia (SA).
A Principal Consultant with Connor Holmes (a Fyfe company), Mr Moseley will embark on his second one-year term as President of the UDIA (SA) with goals to continue tackling planning reform, housing affordability, infrastructure provision, fair taxation and land supply issues on behalf of the South Australian development industry for the wider community.
“I am honoured to be reappointed President of the UDIA (SA) and look forward to continuing to represent our membership of more than 200 local businesses involved in the SA development sector,” said Mr Moseley.
“As we approach the State Election in March, the UDIA will continue to work with all levels of government to help shape appropriate policy and regulation for the land and housing industry in SA to ultimately help grow the economic and social prosperity of the state.”
Mr Moseley was previously CEO of the Adelaide City Council and has also held other senior government roles at a local and state level in South Australia and interstate.
Established in 1971, the UDIA (SA) represents the interests of the development industry in South Australia in collaboration with all levels of government. It seeks to represent all sections of the urban development sector, including developers, councils and service providers such as engineers, planners and surveyors.
The property development industry in South Australia continues to make a significant contribution to economic activity in the state. As the fifth largest contributor to output in SA, the industry employs 56,000 people or 7% of the state’s total workforce, and accounts for almost $9 billion or 12% of Gross State Product.
