Exelsuper acquires oxford financial services
Specialist self managed superannuation firm Exelsuper has acquired Oxford Financial Services in a major boost for the Adelaide-based company.
The deal significantly strengthens Exelsuper’s financial planning division with both directors and all three financial advisers of Oxford Financial Services joining Exelsuper as part of the strategic acquisition.
“We identified Oxford as a great fit for Exelsuper as their philosophy has also been built on fierce independence and uncompromising values,” said Chris Harris, Exelsuper Chief Executive Officer.
“We have completely integrated the Oxford business into Exelsuper, including all directors and advisers, which reinforces our financial planning offering in addition to our focus on helping people set up and administer self managed superannuation funds.”
The acquisition of Oxford Financial Services has alsoled to an expansion of Exelsuper’snew King William Road premises at Goodwood.
“We only recently moved into fantastic new premises at Goodwood so to expand already is really exciting and bodes well for the future,” said Mr Harris.
Exelsuper continues to service the growing self managed superannuation fund market place, with its independent offering allowing clients to access specialist SMSF administration, advice, investment and insurance services all in one location.
“Most people who look into managing their own super fund find that they also need an accountant, financial adviser, share broker, auditor, insurance and legal advisers just to operate it. At Exelsuper, we bring all this together and manage every aspect in one place,” said Mr Harris.
“We’re seeing more and more people choosing to establish their own super fund for the flexibility it provides and the control it gives them in terms of investing in assets of their choice and being in charge of their retirement savings.”
