“The urban development sector is responsible for creating fantastic new places for people to live, with these awards serving as great recognition for the new ideas and innovation that local companies have put into practice to help build our state,” said Pat Gerace, UDIA (SA) Executive Director.
“Starfish Developments deserves particular praise for its outstanding Avenue Apartments at St Clair, as does Renewal SA and Rivergum Homes for their combined efforts with the outstanding new Town Life Living development at Playford Alive.
“Overall, the quality of entries this year was really high so all of the winners have certainly earned their awards, which will hopefully provide a great boost to their respective projects.”
Established in 1971, the UDIA (SA) represents the interests of the urban development industry in South Australia in collaboration with all levels of government. It represents all sections of the urban development sector, including developers, engineers, planners and surveyors.
As the fifth largest contributor to output in SA, the property development industry employs 56,000 people or 7% of the state’s total workforce, and accounts for almost $9 billion or 12% of Gross State Product.
