Glenside's Banksia apartments launch coincides with two major project milestones

The release of plans for the fourth apartment building at Glenside coincides with two major milestones for the successful $400 million project – Glenside’s 300th property sale and welcoming the 750th resident.
Glenside, which was launched by Cedar Woods in March 2018, is now home to more than 182 completed townhomes, two apartment buildings with a third under construction, Glenside Community Park, and most recently the opening of a child care centre in the restored, Occupational Therapy Centre heritage building, built in 1879.
The launch of the latest apartment building, Banksia, comes after the recent success of Glenside’s Monarch apartments, which fully sold just a few months after being released to the market.
Banksia, a boutique eight-storey apartment building has been designed by leading South Australian architects Hames Sharley, and will incorporate 72 luxury one, two and three-bedroom apartments, overlooking Glenside’s Linear Reserve and community park, and with expansive views towards the Adelaide Hills.
Mr Mark Pivovaroff, Cedar Woods (SA) Development Director said the launch of Banksia had been brought forward to meet strong market demand.
“Banksia provides much sought after high-quality, low-maintenance, city-fringe living within a leafy established blue-ribbon suburb, said Mr Pivovaroff.
“It has been designed to take full advantage of its environment and place within the development nestled among the established gum trees and native flora.
“Residents will enjoy having the Linear Reserve on their doorstep and walking downstairs for a picnic on the lawn, using the communal BBQs or taking a stroll along the linear path to Glenside Park then through the parklands into the city.
“They will also have world-class amenities on their doorstep including leading supermarkets and shopping centres, neighbourhood restaurants and cafes, retailers and health services.
Banksia apartments will feature generous integrated indoor and outdoor living spaces, high ceilings, double-glazed windows, gourmet kitchens with stone benchtops and Smeg appliances. It also offers secure car parking for all residents.
Selected apartments will also feature walk-in wardrobes, butler’s pantries, and private terrace courtyards and balconies.
Banksia’s has been designed to achieve a Liveable Housing Australia ‘Silver Level’ and a 7.5-Star NatHERS energy rating, incorporating a range of features designed to reduce its environmental impact and living costs including solar powered communal areas, provision for electric car charging and dual water meters (remotely read) to each apartment.
Glenside will see the continued transformation of the 16-hectare site into a master-planned community with new homes and high quality landscaped public spaces as well as walking and cycling trails.
Prices at Banksia range from $379,000 for a one-bedroom apartment, $509,000 for a two-bedroom apartment and $1,099,000 for a three-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment.
Construction on Banksia apartments is expected to commence towards the end of the year with completion in mid-2024.
