Marker takes CEO role at Adelaide Development Company
Mr Ian Marker has been appointed as Chief Executive of privately-owned property development company Adelaide Development Company (ADC) and its sister company, Estates Development Company (EDC) in Western Australia.
Mr Marker has been General Manager of ADC since 2003. He will continue to be based in Adelaide but will spend more time in Perth overseeing the company’s residential development projects in WA.
The appointment reflects internal restructuring of the 90-year-old, third-generation business, with former Managing Director and shareholder Fiona Roche becoming Executive Chair of ADC and EDC to enable her to take a more strategic role in the management and development of the Roche family’s extensive residential, commercial and pastoral holdings.
A civil engineer, Mr Marker joined Adelaide Development Company with 23 years’ experience in a variety of development and infrastructure projects behind him. Before joining ADC he was an Associate Director of Maunsell and had also worked with AV Jennings Project Management Services.
