Mellor Olsson appoints new CEO

Mellor Olsson Lawyers has announced the appointment of Cameron Thomson as the firm’s new Chief Executive Officer.
Mr Thomson is a senior operations and strategy leader with more than 20 years’ experience in the United Kingdom and Australia in professional services and the not-for-profit sector.
He brings experience from a leading global law firm, where he held several senior positions across the UK and Sydney.
Mellor Olsson Partner Joanna Andrew welcomed Mr Thomson on behalf of the Mellor Olsson partnership.
“Cameron’s appointment marks an exciting new phase for Mellor Olsson,” Ms Andrew said.
“His proven leadership and strategic mindset align perfectly with our focus on delivering exceptional legal services and position the firm for continued long-term success.”
“Joining Mellor Olsson as CEO is an exciting opportunity to help steer a respected, values-led firm into its next phase of growth. I look forward to contributing to its continued success and working with the team to shape a strong future,” Mr Thomson said.
Mr Thomson replaces Mellor Olsson’s inaugural CEO Paul Anderson, after Mr Anderson’s almost six years in the role.
Mr Anderson is credited with helping to lead Mellor Olsson, alongside the Partnership Group, in advancing the firm’s strategic objectives and delivering high-quality services to clients.
Cameron Thomson joined Mellor Olsson on Monday 23 June.
