Covid success story: SA digital transformation start-up expands interstate
Bailey Abbott Group is expanding its successful South Australian digital transformation and data intelligence consultancy into Western Australia to support the growing demand for business data insight and solutions.
The Adelaide-based group, founded in 2020 during COVID with just three employees, has grown rapidly by delivering tailored digital transformation solutions to help private and government organisations work smarter and address key challenges.
The Bailey Abbott Group has today announced Perth-based business intelligence firm Lime Theory will join the Group in a move that will provide local resources on the ground in Western Australia to meet increasing client demand across the state.
The company’s growth is backed by a significant capital raise which will also support further investment in the Group’s portfolio of specialist brands – Bastion Technology Services (cybersecurity) and Digivate Health (specialised health transformation advisory).
Mr Carlton said Bailey Abbott Perth would continue the Group’s commitment to delivering innovative, cost-effective, bespoke digital solutions by local experts for local businesses, who, more and more, are looking for guidance on utilising artificial intelligence (AI).
“Businesses are increasingly seeking guidance on leveraging AI, automation and data intelligence to drive efficiency, innovation, and competitive advantage,” he said
“This growth reinforces our position as a trusted, nimble alternative to global consulting giants at a time when local businesses are increasingly seeking advice from local experts who understand the unique challenges and opportunities of their evolving digital needs.
"With Bailey Abbott, clients will have hands-on, local expertise backed by a team that knows the industry — not just a rubber-stamp from a distant principal."
Bailey Abbott WA Managing director Glen Appleton said the Perth team would integrate advanced data-driven capabilities and local knowledge into Bailey Abbott’s suite of digital solutions.
“Our growing team of consultants has deep, local market knowledge and are ready to empower WA private and government enterprises to achieve transformative outcomes through cutting-edge solutions,” Mr Appleton said.
Bailey Abbott Group’s trading value doubled in the first three years of business and is now supporting more than 60 clients across public and private sectors under multi-million-dollar contracts.
Identified as one of the top three fastest growing, enterprises in South Australia (September 2024, Fast Movers SA), Bailey Abbott Group has an additional M+A activity lined up for FY26/27.
