$60M Lifestyle village completed at Woodcroft
Retirees in the southern suburbs have a new modern housing alternative with the $60 million Reserve Lifestyle Village at Woodcroft officially complete.
Comprising 165 finished homes and resort-style recreational facilities, The Reserve has been purpose-built for over-55s and has already attracted strong interest from buyers with more than half of all homes sold.
Located on the corner of Pimpala Road and Sir James Hardy Way, The Reserve is the ninth Lifestyle SA village to be completed in South Australia since 2001, with additional villages nearing completion at Golden Grove and Mount Barker. A 12th village is also planned for Seaford Meadows.
Lifestyle SA General Manager Stephen Norris said the Woodcroft village was arguably one of the finest in the State.
“The Reserve is a brand new estate but when you drive in and see so many tall trees and established landscaping you’d be forgiven for thinking it’s been here for decades. It really is a beautiful village,” he said.
“More than half the homes are already sold and occupied so there’s certainly a fantastic community atmosphere too which will no doubt get better as the remaining homes are snapped up.”
Homes within The Reserve feature two or three bedrooms, formal and informal living areas, single or double garaging and a fully maintained garden.
The focal point though is a new $4 million community centre which incorporates an indoor swimming pool, hydrotherapy spa, gymnasium, billiards lounge, library and hairdressing salon, in addition to function areas for resident gatherings.
State-of-the-art security measures have also been implemented including automatic card-only vehicle and pedestrian access gates at the entrance to the village, with closed circuit cameras connected to residents’ televisions.
“The Reserve offers active retirees a safe, low maintenance living option where they can enjoy their retirement years in a social, resort-style setting with friends,” said Mr Norris.
“We’re thrilled that the village is 100% complete and we welcome visitors considering retirement to drop in and have a look for themselves.”
The Reserve Lifestyle Village at Woodcroft is celebrating the formal completion of the estate with an Open Day on Saturday, March 17, 2012 from 10am-3pm. The public is invited to enjoy a free sausage sizzle and inspect the village, including new homes and the community centre. For more information about Lifestyle SA villages phone 8125 4100.
