The voice winner Karise Eden to headline 2012 Ronald McDonald House Charities Ball
South Australians will get a chance to see The Voice winner Karise Eden perform live in Adelaide for the first time when she takes to the stage at the 2012 Ronald McDonald House Charity Ball.
The 19-year-old from Central Coast, New South Wales, will perform at the Ball on October 6 before returning to Adelaide later in the month for her national tour performance.
Karise follows in the footsteps of two female powerhouses of the Australian music industry - Vanessa Amorosi and Kate Ceberano - who headlined the Ball in 2010 and 2011.
The 2012 Ball, which has adopted the theme of Arabian Nights, will be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre (moving from the Adelaide Entertainment Centre) to accommodate a larger number of guests.
The Ball is hoping to attract over 1000 guests for the first time in its history.
The Ronald McDonald House Ball is one of RMHC’s signature fundraising events, with funds raised going towards the many programs run by the charity.
The focus of Ronald McDonald House Charities work is to improve the health and well being of seriously ill children.
This includes Ronald McDonald House in Adelaide which provides a home-away-from-home for families living outside of Adelaide, whose seriously ill children are receiving hospital treatment.
Tickets for the Ball are priced at $225.
