National Pharmacies recognises suppliers at 25th annual Supplier Awards

National Pharmacies recognised 12 outstanding suppliers and account managers from across Australia at its 25th annual Supplier Awards, held in Adelaide yesterday.
The National Pharmacies Supplier Awards acknowledge excellence, innovation and exceptional service among the 520 businesses that supply prescription medication and health, beauty and optical products to the group’s 46 community pharmacies and 19 optical stores in South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales.
Among those named National Pharmacy Supplier of the Year were leading natural health company Blackmores, Viatris – which supplies high quality branded, generic and over the counter medicines, and the Sapphire Group, manufacturers of premium fragrant products for home and personal use including Glasshouse candles and diffusers.
National Pharmacies Chief Executive Officer Vito Borrello congratulated the 33 finalists and 12 award recipients for their ongoing support and thanked them for their excellence in service.
“These awards are a long-standing tradition that we celebrate to recognise and thank our suppliers and build strong partnerships through sharing and acknowledging our achievements in a rapidly changing pharmacy sector,” Mr Borrello said.
“From cough medicine to sleep apnoea aids, pain relief to vitamins, sun cream to luxury fragrances, our suppliers help us care for our members with affordable, quality products,” he said.
“This year’s 2024 Supplier Award recipients have shown reliability, innovation, collaboration and are value-aligned with our business and we recognise them as an integral part of our success.”
Finalists are selected by a panel of nine judges from across National Pharmacies on criteria which include communication, service, product range and support.
