Yugo partners with IESE Business School to offer 40,000 students an exclusive careers’ preparation course to empower them for the future of work
Yugo, the first global student housing brand and operator, has signed a two-year international collaboration agreement with IESE Business School, providing more than 40,000 international students with the opportunity to take a Career Path Essentials course for free.
The agreement is part of Yugo's YuPro offering, designed to enhance students' learning experiences and offer valuable opportunities for their life beyond university.
Yugo's commitment to the professional development of its residents has led them to carefully select IESE, aware that it is a world leader in the provision of MBAs and executive education.
Available to residents in 110 Yugo student residences across seven countries through a dedicated online platform, including in Australia, the Career Path Essentials course includes four key modules to equip students with essential skills for today's competitive job market:
• Building an Impactful CV
• Networking as a Skill
• Interview Frameworks
• Competency-Based Interview Questions
Upon completion of the four modules, students will receive a certificate from IESE Business School that they can add to their LinkedIn profiles, CVs and other professional platforms.
As part of the partnership, Yugo will also serve as IESE's preferred lodging provider for its student accommodation spaces.
Tim Klitscher, Yugo’s Managing Director in the Asia Pacific and the Middle East, said students staying at a Yugo property in Australia would have the chance to undertake further study at a renown international institution, which would help with career development.
“Having our students complete all modules will better position them for success in today’s competitive job market,” Mr Klitscher said.
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with IESE, it is well-respected, highly credentialed and our students will greatly benefit from undertaking additional study. The four key modules within the Career Path Essentials course have been selected by IESE business experts to increase students' confidence and employability, which complement our goals at Yugo."
Yugo's YuPro forms one of the three pillars of the brand's "Live Your Best Life" (LYBL) program. It offers educational support, recognizing that 62 per cent of students worry about job opportunities after graduation. This includes internships, graduate programs and career resources – and now, IESE's Career Path Essentials course.
The other two pillars of the program are:
● YuGrow, which prioritises personal development and fosters community, inclusion and wellbeing through a variety of group initiatives and activities.
● YugoEco, which focuses on sustainability, empowering students and staff to reduce their collective environmental impact through initiatives such as carbon training, growing produce and reducing single-use plastics across properties.
Javier Guerra-Librero, IESE Business School’s MiM Admissions Director, says: “IESE Business School is pleased to partner with Yugo in providing Career Path Essentials, a tailored career preparation course aimed at equipping students with the critical skills needed for today’s dynamic job market.
“Through this collaboration, we look forward to extending IESE’s long-standing commitment to fostering global talent by helping Yugo residents achieve greater career clarity, confidence, and competitiveness. This initiative reflects IESE’s mission of empowering future leaders to make a positive impact on organizations and society, and we’re thrilled to give this opportunity to thousands of students through Yugo’s international network."
